The Canon 17-120 Cine Servo is a great compact zoom. the focal range is very high, with a 7 times zoom magnification. It has an 11 blade iris which leads to very unique bokeh. This lens also comes with a Servo motor and zoom rocker switch. Which can lend itself to being used on documentaries and interviews. However, this unit can be removed for cinema style productions.
The shape of this lens also lends itself to being used for handheld shooting, especially with the larger barrel for handheld running and gunning shooting and zooming. This lens is also built in mind for high resolution digital sensors. Lastly, the lens has an interchangeable mount from PL to EF.
