The Premista is an incredibly reliable zoom, the quality of which should not be underestimated. This has a 3.5 zoom factor which a production can pretty much bank on, not needing any other primes.

This lens was purposely crafted to be used on large sensor cameras. It’s optical quality remains consistent from its center to its very edges. Additionally, there is no iris ramping when zooming with this, allowing one to have a consistent 2.9 T stop throughout the entire focal range.

This lens is rather large and heavy, but it is well worth it. It lastly has iTechnology ports similar to our Cooke and Zeiss lenses which allow for the collection of the digital lens data.
