The Laowa Zero D is a very unique and useful tool for those wishing to shoot at a wide focal length. This lens is 12mm and is not only full frame, but also can be used on vista vision, so open all the way on an Arri Mini LF or a Red Monstro without any vignetting.
Most wider lenses also end up being heavy or larger than lenses that have focal lengths in the mid ranges. This is not the case with Zero D, this weighs in at around on pound and is 3.4 inches. It is one of the most compact wide lenses. Additionally, this has near zero distortion at a 2.9 T stop. All of these factors would have one believe that this is too good to be true, however when it comes to the Laowa Zero D,it is in fact true.
