Zeiss Super Speed lenses have been an industry workhorse for decades. These lenses have been used consistently from the 80s to now and being on some of the most well remembered work during those periods of time. They are arguably the most capable and some of the most beautiful vintage lenses available. Their T1.3 maximum aperture is an obvious advantage and puts them in rare company. Oftentimes, lenses as compact as the Super Speeds will have some sort of compromise, usually with their T Stop. But for the Super Speeds this is not a problem as they are all uniformly open at a 1.3.

Known for their high contrast cool image rendition the Super Speeds render a mildly muted image on today's modern digital cameras. Whether you are wide-open or stopped down, the images they produce are magic. These are perfect when paired with digital cameras to make it have a more film like or nostalgic feel. Additionally, these lenses are very light and because of that are very easy to use on one of our Ronin Gimbals or for other handheld work.
